Allen Beasley is a partner with Redpoint Ventures. Prior to joining Redpoint, Allen was an associate with IVP, a firm he joined in 1998.

Allen focuses on infrastructure and media investments and currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Airplay, Buzznet and Obopay. Allen led or was actively involved in investments in OuterBay (acquired by HP), Orbital Data (acquired by Citrix), TopSpin Communications (acquired by Cisco) and MetaTV (acquired by Comcast and Cox).  Allen also focuses on Redpoint's growth and special situations fund having led Redpoint's participation in the LBO of Alltel, the PIPE in Intermix (acquired by News Corp.) and the spinoff of ON Semiconductor (ONNN) from Motorola.

Prior to joining IVP, Allen worked in marketing and product management for Ipsilon Networks, a developer of IP switching technology founded in 1994 and acquired by Nokia in 1997.

Allen holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
