Allen Beasley is a Partner with Redpoint Ventures and leads the firm's investment activity in growth-stage companies, focusing on opportunities in the Internet and infrastructure sectors. Allen led or co-led Redpoint’s current investments in BuzzMedia, Just-Eat, Kabam, NextG, Obopay, Plastic Jungle and Tantalus.  Allen also led previous successful investments in Alltel (acquired by Verizon), Answers (acquired by AFCV Holdings),  Intermix (acquired by News Corp.), Internet Brands (acquired by Hellman & Friedman), OuterBay (acquired by HP), Orbital Data (acquired by Citrix) and the spinoff of ON Semiconductor (ONNN) from Motorola.

Allen currently serves on the Boards of Directors of BuzzMedia, Kabam, Obopay and Plastic Jungle, and is a board observer at Tantalus.  Before joining Redpoint in 1999, Allen was an associate with IVP.  Previously, Allen worked in marketing and product management for Ipsilon Networks, a developer of IP switching technology founded in 1994 and acquired by Nokia in 1997. Allen holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and a M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
